Over the last 20-30 years I've heard dozens people whining about all the firearms companies only introducing newer, bigger, faster, magnum rounds. The short mags were the whipping boys for years. "Give us something practical for what most hunters actually hunt" was the battle cry. Well they did. The 6.5 CM is about best balanced round introduced in my lifetime. It combines enough power to kill elk, with recoil closer to 243 than 308 and with excellent accuracy out of the box at very reasonable prices. The firearm and ammo companies gave us exactly what we have been asking for, and some still complain.
