I have always believed a man should have 2 rifles. One is a .22; the other a 30.06. Can't see wasting a 99 on .22's! I do not think I have ever seen an "original" Model 99. There wasn't many of them here in the midwest when they were being made let alone now. In all of the gunshows, auctions, etc I have attended I have only seen 3 of them. I would have brought 2 of them home only if they were free and the other was very expensive. Dan
