My father had a 99 in 300 savage. It was a takedown model and the first gun I hunted with. I think it was my granfather's gun and I wanted that gun to be mine. I shoot left handed so I uses levers and pumps....but when my dad died, he left that rifle to my brother. The gun is original and unmodified. My brother told me I'd have to buy it from one of his kids after he dies....I finally found one on GB and bought it. It's a 1940 vintage, same caliber and a takedown model....It's on its way and I can't wait....
