I'd like to see the 99's in the new modern short magnum calibers and some of the more versatile handgun calibers like 454 Casull and 357 Maximum. A .223 would make it the very best ranch rifle ever as it really is a saddle gun unlike the autoloaders. If I may venture one more assertion, since Rossi and others are now making interchangeable rifles sets, I'd also like to see the 99 in set like the ones above accompanied by a suitable shotgun barrel. A man could be set for life with something like that...I guess that's what they had in mind when they designed it.
