Just picked up a 1899C (I think it's a C, half octagon / half round make in 1901 via the SR# 10.8xx maybe you guys can tell me?)
FARM FRESH. Was reported to have been found in the rafters of an out building in Northern PA. has the old style tang sight with a Beech front sight. Wood very dark oil stained had that funky black old man sludge caked on it and the thing smelled like my grand parents house from the 1960's...you know that oil furnace smell....lol really took me back. BUT the coolest thing is it has 60 kill notches in the stock. Awesome rifle! Ohhh it's in 303.
Thanks
Paleoman
PS I have several 1899/99's super designed rifle!
