I thought I would share some photos of the two Savages my dad gave to me last year.

The first picture is of my great grandfather's 1899-A (short barrel 22", made in 1904) in a .38-55 cal. My great grandfather bought it when he was married in 1905. I plan on using this rifle for hunting season this fall.

The second is a photo of my great uncle's 99 Savage (I think it is a model E, as it has a 24" barrel and was made in 1929). I found the CIL crate when I was cleaning out the wood house.

Third picture is of my great grandfather and great uncle together (g. grandfather is in the middle, g. uncle on the left). Unfortunately I don't have any photos of them with their guns.

I also wanted to say a huge thanks to 99trix who sold me a new lever for the 1899 and answered my many questions.
