Gents, I have a very nice 99R (1939 I think) manufacture. IT is drilled and tapped for a scope and it also came with an old Leupold 4x that eventually failed. Sent it back to Leupold and they just sent me a brand new FXII 4X. Guess I;ll have to live with it, but my question is this: The rifle is very accurate and I plan to take it hunting, but it does not have sling studs. Would it be blasphemy to have them installed and if not, are there "period correct" studs out there? jorge
