Just wondered if anyone might have a safety slide for one of these old girls? Mine has the square hole in the end of it, and there was something in that hole, but I don't know what. It was a pretty well trashed out, rusted up 300, that was never fired, but left to rust! The bore is perfect, I have the frame nearly restored, but the barrel on the outside is really pitted badly. The stock & forend are 100% perfect. What a shame! I'd love to find a barrel also. Can you change barrels in these guns, say my 300 to a 250-3000 without jumping through a lot of hoops? thanks, & glad to be part of the forum, Jake
