Kinda difficult for the armorer to keep someone from cocking, pointing and squeezing the trigger when the gun isn't in his hand. Loaded, prop or whatever.
Let's face it, the guy is a careless, thoughtless smartass that is as loose with his actions as he is with his mouth and one person is dead because of it.
Armorer's job is to verify the condition of the firearm (loaded with blanks/unloaded) before it's handed to the actor.
Did the armorer cock the hammer, point it at other people, then pull the trigger?
The condition of the firearm is moot everywhere on the planet except in the presence of an armorer. Um okay.
