This whole thread is an indicator of just how screwed up this country is. If gun people can't agree, how do you expect any justice comes from this whole affair.

The result of this mess will end up in a long debate, Alec Baldwin will join O.J. Simpson in a shrouded event that will ultimately get him off due to celebrity status and life will go on without the cinematographer.

I find it incredible you would agree to this. It is obvious I have far more experience handling firearms that that slut of a 24 year old licensed armorer but if I handed you a pistol that you knew you had to point at a person would you check it first before doing so? It would annoy the hell out of me if you didn't.
Not if 2 people paid to inspect the gun, told me it had blanks and was "COLD GUN !!!"....I'd squeeze the trigger and make a really mean face, like I was paid to do.
He would have checked if he was pointing that gun at his own head.
