Loaded gun or not, for this mishap to happen, three conscious acts were required of Baldwin. 1. He cocked the hammer, 2. He pointed the gun AT someone, 3. He pulled the trigger. Take away any of the three and that gal would still be alive.

Even if I checked the gun myself and had the other person check it as well, I don’t think I could point it at that someone. I wouldn’t want it pointed directly at me even if I had checked it and the holder of the gun checked it too.

As someone mentioned earlier, I thought actors were told to point the gun to the side of their “target”. Maybe Baldwin did it but his “make believe aim” was so bad or he yanked the trigger enough that it put the muzzle on woman.
