This past Friday the EU approved a total embargo on Russian Oil and added more restrictions on Russian interests.
Tooty, I see the EU is going to buy oil from India after they buy it from Russia. Good on the EU for upholding such strong principles and not backing down lol
Those sanctions sure are killing the Russian economy.
I remember one time when Jimmy Carter was president, that He put an embargo on grain to Russia. Wheat prices fell and the grain went to Russia, VIA Canada mostly by sale, but went directly from US ports to Russia. Only people hurt bad was the American farmer. Same embargo started the great deforestation of South America because the Chinese funded them raising Soybeans. Our Government has always been our worst enemy. Another one is that before the Civil war, the North kept the South from selling directly to other countries, mainly Great Britain. They wanted cotton and other goods to move through the North, so they could make a profit. This was one of the causes of the civil war. There were lots of them. miles
