A fella who found himself "under the weather" so to speak, and fell off the porch might be alright from that second porch, but the one in the first pic is definitely tall enough to leave a mark.
The railing, IIRC, is about chest high to a normal sized person, and quite solidly built, so falling off would be fairly difficult.
