What say ya'll? If you had this spread of weapons to bring and hunt with, what would YOU bring? I think I can come up with the money to shoot two or three extra porkers, but not seven.
Last year I took 3 rifles, all modern; on a rainy day I took the stainless & synthetic Montana 7mm-08 out, and blooded it. I'll probably take three old ones this year, but use the AR-10 if it rains again. The AR in .300 Blackout is easier to carry, but I'm not sure I want to use that caliber on a big boar, even with a TTSX.
This week I should get my hands on one of those rare Lyman 54 sights, for the Savage M1920 bolt action, which will let me yank off the scope and use it as the rifle was designed. The .300 Savage oughta work, too.
I'll try for a big boar first, but settle for a meat pig or two, the last day. I ain't chucking no spears, nor sticking unwounded pigs with knives, but I might pop one with the Walker
