Yep. I'm planning on it. smile I always have admired Hawkens the most of the various muzzleloaders, and admired what the mountain men did with them.

I ran 80gr of Swiss FFFg under a .535 ball, with a .020 patch. It booms pretty authoritatively. The first shot at 50 yards, from a clean bore, went dead center. It is hard to load so I want to try some thinner patches and different lube, but I would have no qualms shooting a pig with it. smile
