I'll bring one of those high tech bolt action rifles with that crazy smokeless powder if you friend wants to use it...it will probably have a fixed power scope though...

They have more options than just pigs. If you're wife wants something "pretty" there are other animals....a yak for example. Would make a great full body mount.
