I would be really surprised if we could go 40 for 40 on nilgai.
Never hunted them, but I did note that there was a young bull at Wilderness.

The one across the road from where we hunted?
I saw him a couple times, the first time he was very skittish. He was alone and out from the woods by about 150 yards, but he ran like a SOB when he saw me rounding the corner. The second time he was with a bunch of other critters and quite aways back from the fence. Could have been two different ones also??
