So......if something is 100years old it is obsolete? That's what you call logic?

WOW!! Bad news for the wheel.
And the vice.
And the lever.
And the screw and driver.
And the telephone.
And the electric switch.

Or maybe being 100 years old and still extremely popular and common may mean that it's very much not obsolete, but is one of the standards by which other things are measured.
