I spent a lot of time in Uvalde while driving the 18 wheeler. There was a big blue jean plant there, since closed down. We took blue jean fabric from Blacksburg S. Carolina to the plant in Uvalde. I was there the last time just 3 years ago. Several times I did a 34 hour break in Uvalde, and would spend a day walking around the town. Pretty little Texas town. I was walking around town one day, got to talking with a guy and his mom who were having a yard sale. And they said, "Well you just walked past Matthew McConaughey's house!"
I thought WTF? I said, "Has Matthew McCounaghey bought some real estate here in Uvalde?"
And they said, "Good God! He is from Uvalde! I went to high school with Matthew. I thought everybody knew that."
Looking at the map, this school is 2 blocks away from that plant I spent so much time at.
