Because they actually did heroic stuff that day, not cowardly bullshit like they did in Uvalde. The fault is not with people calling cowards cowards, it’s with the cowards.

You miss my point, the whole country had changed including the police. This is the new normal. Our Air Force just canceled a drag fashion show at an air base. The next one won’t get canceled I bet. But those guys were heroes in 2001. And they new at some point they weren’t coming home and still went up.

Well, like I said in 1966 when Charles Whitman started shooting people from the tower in Austin, people got deer rifles and started shooting back. It undoubtedly saved lives. The cops didn’t try to stop them and the couldn’t have if they had tried. The cops and the people cooperated to stop the threat.

Yep. He was dodging bullets from a quarter mile and more away.

Here, as the news said, brave and vested cops were getting kids out of (uninvolved) rooms.

Why were none going in?
