Not to belabor the point, but IME the janitorial staff is most often really good about locking doors since they are directly accountable. If stuff gets stolen it will come down on them and if vandals get in they are the ones who are gonna be cleaning up the mess/graffiti.

It’s teachers and especially students that tend to prop them open so they don’t have to walk all the way around the building to get back in.
