The tort reform caps severely limit wrongful death claims now.

You can go in for an operation and the surgeon can cut your throat, and your family will only get $250k... as an example.

Judge will look at the case and set the cap on damages.

Much better to get severely injured where you require ongoing healthcare. Those can get up there in $$$.
