The *real* battle is, a big part of the world is fighting to keep the decadence of the west from spreading all over the world.
Russia has already had a Bolshevik Revolution. It doesn't want another.
The real problem for America will begin when China and Russia establish a large enough market for their goods that they no longer need to sell to the west.
Russia has a GDP about like Italy.
Russia couldn't even dream of replacing Western demand for ChiCom manufacturing output and couldn't dream of supplying China with enough energy.
Things are going to change but China and Russia are doomed by demoghraphics and location.
The good ol USA is going to feel some pain but we are unique in our location and energy/food production ability.
When the World goes to schitt the best place to be is going to be USA.
