What evidence regarding Russian failure to take Kyiv do you question, and what evidence would you provide in support?
Did you expect Russia to take Kyiv, or not? When did you reach that conclusion, and did your expectations change as the war went on?
Russia never planned to take Kiev. Russia sent troops to Kiev to keep the Ukraine military occupied while other Russian troops went to work in the Crimea,..which is Russia's only real interest in Ukraine.
