How Theologically correct is it to believe that Satan engineers tragedies and hardships to turn us against God by creating unbelief and despair?
with Job, the lord conspired with Satan to give him a hard time...and that same Lord set the parameters under which satan could operate as god's proxy.

to be more correct the devil was cast down to earth against his will, so clearly the Lord sent such evil with divine purpose..so behind all evil is God.
