I was uncertain of how to interpret your,post. To clarify, the excerpt noted above is totally wrong and completely unbiblical.
No one.... will go to heaven by following “the best moral code.”
That's your personal interpretation of Christianity, but the interrelations of faith, works and still hotly debated to this day.
This is actually the message of the Gospel from the beginning of Genesis to be end of Revelations rather than my own interpretation. The former personal view of Christianity that I held was works based.
The interrelation of works and faith have been hotly debated since forever. From what I can tell study of all religions and sects of Christianity fall and are separated along the line of works. Biblical Christianity now distinct from all sects of Christianity and every other religion in the world being separated by that issue alone.
