Let's face it - the brainwashing is just too ingrained, and the fear of losing salvation still seen as too real to even try and contemplate looking to find the truth. Pity to throw away critical reasoning for the sake of illogical fears. I hope they don't take over and turn the place into planet of the apes or something like that.
