Fear of death and the unknown gave birth to religion, not some interaction between man and God.
You believe this based on faith. You certainly can't prove it scientifically.
Atheism is a faith based belief system.
In order to be convinced that something is true, it's not faith to expect evidence, it's reasonable practice. To believe something without evidence is faith.
Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc, have faith in their beliefs.
