Covenant love of God can not be matched nor measured, and Christ's second commandment to love others as you love yourself is secondary to the requirement of covenant love of God. At that time, there were over 600 standing commandments to the Hebrew. That is the reason the Great Commandment is first. And is required to be priority to all else.
I will never measure up. I will be found wanting as I am a wretch who barely understands my place on this marble. But I feel blessed beyond my due.
