The issue of pain and suffering and injustice in the world is a big problem, for many people, when it comes to maintaining faith in God. Understandably so. Many people have stepped back from God because of their inability to reconcile the pain and suffering and injustice in the world with a good and loving God. I can see why some people might respond that way. There's a lot of tension between God and pain, God and injustice, God and sorrow, and God and devastation in the world...and how we resolve those issues with a good and loving God.
If ‘anyone’ had a reason to question God about these things, it would have to be Jesus. Lived His entire life without ever doing anything wrong, nuthin’. Sinless. Followed God’s law perfectly. Without fail, ever. A completely innocent man who was scourged and beaten beyond recognition, and then horribly executed.
Jesus was God so he understood the essential need for suffering.
He was also a man, who asked God if he might be spared the cross.


Every day on this side of the ground is a win.
