Have any of you ever met someone (or known someone) who faced something pretty awful, and you’re thinkin’ “how would I respond if I faced something like that”, and you watch them walk through it with extraordinary faith and confidence in God...? They faced things you hope you never have to face, but their confidence in God rarely wavered. Those are the most inspiring, hope-giving people that some of us have ever met, or known of. Their faith endured, despite the hardships. People who get a “no” from God, yet their faith endures, are often more inspiring than people who seem to always get a “yes” from God, who seem to live a wrinkle-free life. They leave some of us with confidence that there is a level of faith and confidence in God that can endure just about anything. Their prayers go unanswered, but their confidence in God remains firm.
What about all the people who do that without a god?
