Some want the whole world to believe the truth started with a squabbling, illiterate, superstitious bronze age middle east tribe that created variety of shambolic oral tales to make the 'truth' fit... and keeping with the tradition, the nouveau deist Jesus crowd were compelled to create their own.
Now had folks listened to James brother of Jesus and kept it confined to Torah compliant Jews we would not be having this conversation... but Paul had to go and relax the rules and compliances to become a christian resulting in a much larger squabbling mess revolving around flawed N.T. scriptural narratives...but one can just gloss over such by switching off one's reasoning mind and just go on believing scripture is the infallible inspired word of God, warts and all.
