The new Harley Softail, either the Heritage Classic or a Fat Boy; new suspension is great, more torque than you can imagine & at 80, they are just loafing. Easily handles 2-up all day.
Go take a test ride & you'll be hooked if you are serious about a bike.
But as far as a roadside rebuild, that's not going to happen today.
I have a SuperGlide & a Road King & they have been 100% reliable & trouble free, but the new Softails are a better mousetrap.
