The big “dual sports” are absolute whales off road, they are however decent dirt road bikes, have excellent cornering clearance and a very decent mid-range torque.

As to the parking lot spark plugs. Can parking lots have shade trees?

How about parking lot head gasket replacements? Rings?

Heck, in January 1979 I myself switched out the main bearings of a ‘69 Opel Kadette station wagon in an old barn in Upstate NY with nothing fancier’n a Sears torque wrench, breaker bar and socket set.

Drove it to New Mexico and lived in it for six months. Actually did pull the the head again in a convenience store parking lot in Ruidoso Downs.

But that weren’t a motorcycle I know.

Finally, have you EVER lived in a Third World setting and seen shade tree Master Mechanics in action? Actually biggest problem can be the flies.
