One of my buddies after forty years on two wheels finally got caught by that old lady making a left turn. He went over the hood but his foot got caught between the bike and the front corner panel. Foot pointing the wrong way upon landing, spiral fracture of the femur, compound fracture of the fibula and tibia.
Six months of agony, chronic pain and a cane now. The short version is I’m gonna try for crash bars front and rear on my next bike. Might have helped my friend.
