Most efficient hull speed for a canoe-shaped boat oughtta be easy to figure out, there’s formulas somewhere. I got a 13ft canoe and a 2 horse outboard, but there’s not much point in trying for more than 4mph, counter productive.
IIRC hull speed increases with length. so 25ft x 7ft, gotta be 7mph easy.
If I remember correctly, wide point of the outline 45% from the front delivers fastest plane speed.
