You guys want the numbers for 2575 fps? They ain't gonna rescue your boy from his mistake, boys.

Who loads long pointy bullets to SAAMI OAL specs, anyway?! Not me.

And while I'm no 7-08 expert, neither of the two I owned and loaded extensively for would touch 2700 with a 162, any more than they'd fly to the moon. And if a feller DID try to load that bullet to those kinds of speeds, it most likely won't be at 2.8", either. Ya know?

Aren't you all cold-chamber hunters anyway? Do you think there's no time, while lining up your mythical 1000-yard shot with your 7-08... To slip a bullet of whatever OAL into the chamber?

But, anyway, there's your 2600 fps, for all practical purposes. You want me to clobber you with the numbers at 2575 or whatever, it'd be my pleasure. Say the word.
