MM's was getting those numbers when his barrel was 22'', using moly, and his loads were 3'' and wouldn't fit in a mag box. Even then, he didn't hit 2600fps.

That OAL gives a .002" crush on chambering, the throat is longer than I previously thought.


Keeping it to 2.9'' OAL(which still won't feed through most rifles), his loads were in the 2400 range with moly.

Two shots each over chrony. velocity at 15' from muzzle:

RL15

44.5gr - 2474, 2474

45.0gr - 2481, 2483

QL indicates this velocity corresponds to pressure at 60-61K lbs-psi.


You're grasping at straws with something you've never done, citing numbers that can't safetly be gotten in rounds that will feed through a short action.
