Machined, bored, cut, formed, and so on could mean sheared, punched, drilled, milled, turned, spun, sawn, etc.

Stamped can be a combination of formed, sheared and/or punched.

Ive wondered why in the kitchen they commonly call it 'cookie cutting' ..should it not be 'cookie punching'...?... laugh

and 'Die -cutting' machines use a shear process like punching does.

As far as cart.brass is concerned, I suspect they use a 'punch-cutting' machine.
