I think he wrote for Shooting Times Magazine, but that was before I got into the industry. I think I heard that one of the reasons he left Shooting Times was because of the fallout from the lawsuit.


Yes indeed. Good writer but he was a magnum guy and never let you forget it.


That probably is what drove him to figure out the WSM proportion ratio. I really want the magnum performance, but I hate using a pound of powder for every 100 casings. Enter the WSSM. Plus he was probably sick of lugging around his magnum action rifle and extra barrel length.
