I don't doubt you at all. It simply shows us there are no hard and fast rules.

Maybe there's a diff in the dies ?

Maybe there's a diff in the chambers ?

I had a Savage 99 in 243 and no matter how I adjusted the dies, the 'bolt' was very difficult to completely close.
Surely IMO, that particular rifle was an exception.
