Only have her a year and 4 months, but I'm unreasonably fond of my May 1979 production 760 .35 Remington. Put a '78 production Leupold M8 4x on her and she SHOOTS! I've shot more sub inch 100 yard and sub 2 inch 200 yard groups than is reasonable for a pump .35 Remington. I put a Timney trigger kit in her. Sooooo nice! More than worth the coin! Easy to install too. Takes longer to read the instructions that to do the install.
Got 2 deer with her this past season.
Looking back, I noticed folk mentioning broken action bars. Yes, it does happen. I broke one myself. The braze failed on a 760 .30-06 that I insisted on using neck sized cases. I've since learned the benifits of a .002 shoulder bump... Break the bar itself? No. Have the braze let go? Yes.
