Man if my Papaw could see us now. He found out I made 24k a year a few months before he passed 1989 or so if I had to guess (stupid ex-wife and her big mouth) and when he got me alone he said "I didn't we're rich - why didn't you tell me?". I told him I heard how he talked about rich folks and didn't want him to be ashamed of me. He laughed and said "hell I wasn't talking about us". He also said he liked beef better than venison during that conversation. I went on to own a handful of companies and retire at 41 some 15 years later.
Now Mrs. Geno is filling out 100 job applications for tenure track assistant professor. Man what a difference. I really hate he didn't get to see our life now.
It's natrual for parents to want their kids to be more successful than themselves.
But in this day and age . Alot of parents are helicoptor types raising precious little losers that will never amount to anything.
And most of them are Liberal Socialist Democrat scum parents and offspring alike...
Mine don't like me as much as I wish they did but they turned out great. Papaw was my grandfather. My father and the 4 stepdads that followed were all monsters. You won't hear me talking about them unless I been drinking. It's been a while now.
If you had four stepdads I feel for you. I had one and that was more than enough. The only upside was getting big enough to beat his azz and that it made me a better dad and stepdad.
