Not much exciting going on for me. This heat is kinda keeping me pinned down.
I do manage to get in a couple bike rides here and there. It fascinates me that these coyotes call the NOLA metro area home. These guys live on the river batture, It's barely 100 feet wide on average. I saw this one on my Sunday morning ride.
Been exploring some of the isolated coulees in the Bonnet Carre spillway for fish. The Rio Grand Cichlid has found home here and is considered invasive. They are not to be released.
This is a hybrid of some sort. A bluegill/warmouth I suspect.
I decided to turn them into dinner. Fried with a little roasted pecan red wine sauce.
