We saw our first ones in that game farm just north of Whitehorse this summer. They were smaller than I'd expected for whatever reason and the baby calves were the cutest balls of fuzz we'd seen in a long time!

I'll end with random photos from years back.

Fairly big Okanagan bear I saw for maybe 5 years in a row in the same area.

The girls called this a "Battle Toad" as it was just below freezing, yet there it was way up top and still moving, just not fast.

These two Doug Firs are/were about 4' at the base, not quite. A year after this photo a microburst blew down the straight one on the right. Then last year's fire burned it, but the bent one is still up there and though scorched seems fine. It's a landmark for me to find my way back to the truck...
