Regarding why Bucky the Beaver might be interested in the antlers, up here it's rare to find a drop off that hasn't been chewed by something with rodent teeth. I'm told they can process the calcium from them?

Anyways they are some of the larger rodents we have so I can't see why they wouldn't gnaw on antlers just like their smaller cousins.

With respect to our member from Virginia who suggested sampling Bucky for table fare, I can only say that I've tried it at two different game banquets put on by our gun club and although both times I felt it was memorable, it wasn't in a good way.... whatsoever...

In keeping with the theme of photos, this isn't from this year, but I've had to do this twice already which is the second earliest in living here 30 years.
