Good afternoon to you sir, I hope the day went well.

Thanks for the photo contributions, especially that wonderful moose in velvet. Holy smokes that's stuff I dream about.

Anyways on the Gold Fish thing - and no, I don't know what it is you've got there either, but...

When I took up ice fishing again, unbeknownst to me some ne'er-do-well had thrown gold fish into that lake too.

Imagine then if you will sir, sitting in a blacked out tent, staring down an 8" hole in the ice for hours, seeing nothing...

Then this neon orange thing floats past just out of direct vision. eek

I'll tell you that I questioned the state of my mental health, diet and spiritual wellness quite seriously for a bit sir, truly.

When buddy asked me later if I'd seen any 8" gold fish in there, I was quite relieved, I must say.

Photo of said tent and some non-gold fish waiting patiently on the ice for the trip home.

The result of waiting patiently.

Thanks for the contributions and the chuckle on the memory of the apparition fish.

All the best and good hunting.

Dwayne

Funny story Dwayne thanks for the chuckle. That fish is actually a yellow eye rock fish caught in Alaska
