I took a palm sander and took the chainsaw roughness down to decently smooth while letting all the minor cuts and imperfections in it. Then took a metal disk grinder and hit it here and there to give it those light and heavy swirls mixed in with the grain. Lightly went over it with a torch to mix in some dark colors, then gave it 5 or 6 coats of polyurethane. The live edge is natural except for the poly.
