Buzz catching and appreciating good whisk(e)y are two different things.
For buzz catching give me a half decent $20 blended Scotch and some soda on the rocks. Or a cold gin and tonic on a hot day.
That's a different ball game than putting ice in Van Winkle Lot B bourbon, which I would consider a crime.
Scotch is where I draw the line. I appreciate a fine scotch enough to not pollute it. A little ice is OK but that's about it. Lower grade blended, I'll pass.
