You waste your time trying to explain 30-03 vs 30-06 to THEM? Hell they couldn't even tell you what a 30-03 is...
Hey, I just had to come back and tell you that is one of the original posts which set some of these 24hourTrolls off their rockers.
I mentioned that the .270 Winchester was developed from the .30-03, not the .30-06, as a bunch of them keep saying. They went nuts! Of course, most of the web sites where they run to become Instant Experts were also full of erroneous information copied from each other. Finally, someone like John Barsness posted a link to some indisputable reference that, yes indeed, the .270 Winchester was based on the .30-03 cartridge.
That, and dozens of other such learning experiences, are what brings out the hatred here.
